The young people of the parish help at the Mass through this ministry. Servers are important not only to the weekend Masses, but also to assist priests at funerals, weddings and other celebrations.
Anyone who has reached the 5th grade can become an altar server. Brief training is required.

The Children's Liturgy of the Word ministry is celebrated on scheduled Sundays at the 9:30 AM Mass. The main goal of CLOW is to awaken a sense of God’s presence in their everyday lives. Just before the first reading at mass, the children are called forward by the presiding priest and given a blessing to go forth to hear the Word of God. After prayer, reflection and Profession of Faith, the children return to the main body of the church to celebrate Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Ministers are needed for this most rewarding ministry. Guides and resources are available to assist all in sharing their faith. Ministers are generally scheduled once in six - eight weeks.

The instruction Immensae Caritatis states that the "wonderful gift of the Eucharist…demands that such an important mystery should be increasingly better known and its saving power more fully shared."
The ministry of extraordinary ministers assists in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. They may also be asked to bring Holy Communion to the homebound (as part of the Ministry to the Sick and Homebound), enabling them to feel connected to the parish.
Anyone interested in becoming an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion must be at least eighteen years of age and a fully initiated member of the Catholic Church (baptism, confirmation, Eucharist). A brief training session is required.
Eucharistic Ministers for Sunday liturgy are scheduled about once every three weeks and are also asked to fill in as needed at the Mass they otherwise normally attend.

Roman Catholics have not generally been thought of as people of the word, that is, of the Bible. This has been considered one of the dividing lines between Catholics and other Christians for nearly 500 years.
The past 30-some years, however, have witnessed a sea change in biblical familiarity among Catholics. This is mostly a result of Scripture now enshrined in our own language throughout Catholic worship. For most of us, this word is experienced especially through the biblical readings proclaimed, preached and savored Sunday after Sunday during the Liturgy of Word at Mass.
A lector must be able to read aloud in a clear manner. While the lector is called upon to read selections from the Scripture at weekend Masses, he or she also fulfills their ministry at weekday and funeral masses and at special liturgies.
This ministry is open to all members of the parish (high school age minimum).

Music and singing play an important role in the celebration of the Mass. Life, a sense of joy, and prayer are expressed and help us to offer God praise in song.
Those who play any musical instrument or who have a good singing voice are encouraged to offer their talent to strengthen our celebrations throughout the year. The parish choir and musicians generally perform only on Holy Days and special occasions, but are welcome to perform at other times as well.

As the first impression is always the last impression, ushers play a critical role in the weekend masses. They welcome people into church in a warm manner, help people find a place to sit after Mass begins and help individuals in need of physical assistance..
Taking up the collection, presenting the gift of bread and wine, as well as tidying the Church for the next mass are the responsibilities of this ministry.
This ministry is available to all members of the parish (high school age minimum).
