Today, Sunday, October 6 at 1:00 p.m., we will have our annual “Blessing of the Animals” in honor of the Feast of St. Francis. We will be meeting at the church lawn on Harrison Street.
On Saturday, September 28th, the Filipino Saints Novena Rosary will be prayer following 5:00 p.m. Mass Statues of Filipino Saints San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod will be in Church that day.

Beginning at 3pm St. John’s will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Devotions associated with the Day. Confessions will be heard during the hour to fulfill OUR LORD’S request. Our Lord made a great promise to all those souls who would go to Confession and then receive Him in Holy Communion on the Feast of His Mercy, now called Divine Mercy Sunday throughout the Catholic Church. Jesus promised that “The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain the complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.” He went on to say “I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My Mercy.” (Diary 1109)

On Tuesday, March 19th, Fr. Chris Ciccarino will discuss “The Last Days of Jesusr” Jesus at 7:00 p.m. in the Lower Hall. Fr. Chris is Associate Dean for Seminary and Academic Studies and Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies of Immaculate Heart Seminary at Seton Hall University. Since it is St. Joseph's Day, there will be a St. Joseph's Table with refreshm,ents. All are welcome!!

Ashes will be distributed during the Masses. The Mass Schedule for the day is as follows: 6:30a.m., 9:00a.m., 12:00Noon, and 7p.m. There will also be a 3pm service and ashes will be distributed. As a reminder Ash Wednesday is a day of both Fast and Abstinence. On this particular day only one (1) full meal is permitted and no meat is permitted. Those between the ages of 18 and 59 are obliged to fast.
