Altar Society
The Altar Society is one of the oldest parish organizations. It offers women a variety of ways of growing in the faith, through retreats as well as various parish social events, cake sales, the annual Christmas Bazaar and other fundraising activities. Members of the Altar Society also care for the Church linens.

Hospitality Committee
The Hospitality Committee serves the Parish by providing coffee socials on scheduled weekends after Sunday Mass and at various occasions throughout the year. The committee also hosts the St. John Parish Annual Breakfast with Santa.

Knights of Columbus Carmel Council - K of C (Carmel Council #8982)
The Knights of Columbus, the largest Catholic Men's Lay organization, has 1.7 Million members, worldwide. Founded by Parish Priest, Fr. Michael McGivney in 1882 in New Haven Connecticut, the Knights are celebrating their 125th Anniversary! The K of C is based on the principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. Carmel Council #8982 meets on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month in the lower hall.
Men who wish to be considered for Knighthood must be practicing Catholics, at least 18 years old and in communion with the Holy See. The K of C is considered to be "The Right arm of the Catholic Church!"
Carmel Council #8982 supports many issues: Right to Life, the Association of Retarded Citizens, and new mothers through its Baptismal Rose presentation, to name a few. Fundraisers and parish social activities include a pasta dinner, 2 annual communion breakfasts, bus rides, and events for the youth of the Parish, including the Basketball Free Throw, the Spelling Bee, as well as, honoring EAGLE and GOLD SCOUT AWARDwinners. These activities enhance our parish sense of community, support special causes and honor deserving contributors to the "quality of life" from our parish and our town.

St. John Leonia Philippine American Community (SJL PAC)
A group of Filipino American parishioners in St. John Leonia committed to the practice of faith through active involvement in the various parochial activities and the celebration of our Filipino religious and cultural traditions like the feast day of San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod, the Simbang Gabi and other social activities such as line dancing.
